Choose by Working-End Form and Access

Sickle scalers have pointed toes and triangular cross-sections, but the shank and blade relationship changes across anterior and posterior patterns. Jacquette names identify established sickle forms. Hoe scalers use a different blade relationship, while periodontal files use multiple cutting surfaces. Implant-maintenance instruments require separate working-end material and compatibility evidence.

H6/H7, H5, U15, Towner, Jacquette, 204S, Morse, hoe, and file patterns have different working relationships. Keep the complete pattern name and reference on the enquiry so the intended instrument is clear.

• Anterior sickle patterns — Compare blade, point, cross-section, terminal shank, figure, and handle.
• Posterior sickle patterns — Record access-oriented shank, blade, side or pairing, figure, and handle.
• Hoe scalers and files — Use blade or filing-surface geometry, angle, ends, pattern, and handle.
• Implant-maintenance hand scalers — Confirm working-end material and exact product rather than inheriting a conventional scaler claim.

Distinguish H6/H7 from Related Sickle Patterns

H6/H7 is a defined sickle-scaler pattern, not a general label for Towner, H5, U15, or every anterior scaler. When requesting H6/H7, include the full pattern, end configuration, handle, quantity, and any previous order reference.

For similar-looking patterns, send a clear working-end photograph and dimensions. We will confirm the name, anterior or posterior designation, handle, SKU, and available dimensions before pricing.

Compare Handles and Working-End Materials Separately

Handle diameter, texture, weight, and finish affect purchasing preference, but they should not define scaler identity. Keep pattern and working-end fields first. If a pattern is available on more than one handle, show the handle as a variation tied to the same confirmed working-end reference.

Working-end material is especially important for implant-maintenance instruments. State it at exact product or variation level, with evidence. Do not describe a conventional steel scaler and a maintenance instrument as interchangeable because both remove deposits.

Prepare a Scaler Range or Replacement Quote

Send the pattern and figure, anterior or posterior designation, end configuration, working-end dimensions where critical, handle, quantity, packaging, marking, and destination. For a range, keep each pattern and handle on its own line. For a replacement, include the previous SKU or approved sample.

Available material, finish, manufacturing, packaging, certificate, and export evidence can support the quotation. Inspection, sharpening where applicable, cleaning, and sterilization follow the exact product instructions and professional protocol.

A range enquiry should separate conventional sickle, hoe, file, and implant-maintenance instruments by exact product family. Record each figure, end configuration, working-end material, handle, quantity, and replacement reference. If a previous sample controls the geometry, include face and profile photographs with measurements so a similar name does not replace the approved pattern.
