Custom Manufacturing Capabilities
Our custom manufacturing program creates dental instruments that do not exist in standard catalogs. Clinicians, researchers, and specialty practitioners frequently require modified instrument geometries for specific clinical applications. We manufacture custom instruments based on technical drawings, physical samples, or written specifications. Our team translates clinical requirements into manufacturing specifications and agrees them with you before production begins. Custom instruments go through the same multi-point quality inspection as our standard catalog manufacturing workflow. Branding a design already in our catalog is OEM private labeling instead, and can be combined with a custom order on the same quote.
Customization Parameters
We modify 8 instrument parameters for custom manufacturing: blade angle (±5° increments from standard), blade width (±0.5mm from standard), working length (±5mm from standard), handle diameter (6mm, 8mm, 10mm, 12mm, 14mm), handle type (round, hexagonal, ergonomic, hollow), surface finish (satin, mirror polish, black titanium, gold titanium), tip geometry (custom sharpening angles, modified curvature), and material grade (AISI 420, 440A, 440C, or titanium). Each parameter is specified in the custom order form and verified against the approved prototype.
Custom Order Process
The custom manufacturing process follows 5 steps: consultation (submit your requirements via the quote form or by phone), technical review (we prepare drawings for your approval), prototype production (a small number of sample instruments), your approval (you test and approve, or request modifications), and bulk production once the prototype is signed off. Prototype costs are credited toward the bulk order. Typical lead time from approved prototype to shipment is 4–6 weeks, confirmed on your quote. Minimum custom order is 50 units per pattern. All custom instruments include a 6-month warranty against manufacturing defects. To start, send your drawing, sample, or written specification along with the target quantity and destination market.
