Bone Rongeurs, Files, and Curettes Are Not Interchangeable

A bone rongeur uses opposed cutting jaws and a spring-action handle. A bone file has a textured filing surface. A bone curette uses a cup or spoon-shaped working end. Their pattern names, sizes, and access angles belong in separate comparison fields. A buyer requesting “bone instruments” should receive a clarified list, not an arbitrary mix.

For rongeurs, specify side- or end-cutting design, jaw profile, overall length, joint, and spring. For files, state the pattern, surface, ends, curvature, and handle. Compare Retraction and Tissue-Reflection Instruments
