About Dental Bone Splitting Chisel & Mallet Set

This dental bone splitting set combines eight chisel positions, a Mead-pattern mallet and a mesh instrument tray. It is kept separate from screw-type bone expander kits because the components, working-end specifications and replacement requirements are different. The order schedule identifies every chisel individually rather than describing the set only by its total piece count.

Eight Chisel Positions in the Set

The current configuration includes straight and curved chisels in four nominal width references: 4.0, 4.5, 7.0 and 7.5 mm. That creates eight width-and-geometry combinations. The Mead-pattern mallet and mesh tray are additional documented components.

The nominal width is one ordering detail, not the complete instrument specification. A straight 4.0 mm pattern and a curved 4.0 mm pattern must remain separate positions in the bill of materials and cassette map.

Define the Chisel Beyond Its Width

For each chisel, confirm the blade width, blade thickness, taper, edge profile, curvature or offset, shaft form, handle pattern and overall length. If matching an existing set, an approved drawing or measured sample should identify where the nominal width is taken and how the curved geometry is referenced.

We do not add technique, force or clinical-outcome instructions to the product specification. The page is intended to help procurement teams identify and compare the physical set supplied.

Specify the Mallet and Tray

The mallet should be identified by pattern, head diameter or dimensions, overall length, weight and material or inserts where applicable. The mesh tray should be confirmed by external dimensions, capacity, lid or closure arrangement and the required positions for the eight chisels and mallet. These details prevent two sets with the same chisel count from being treated as identical.

Individual Replacements

A buyer can request an individual chisel, mallet or tray after the parent set and component position are confirmed. For a replacement chisel, provide the complete working-end geometry and not only the nominal width. Pattern markings can be agreed to distinguish straight and curved instruments during receiving and replenishment.

Material, Finish and Inspection

Material grade, hardening requirement, surface finish and markings are confirmed against the approved order specification. Inspection can cover the stated blade dimensions, geometry, overall length, mallet details, component count and tray layout. We manufacture under ISO 9001:2015 quality management certification.

Dental Bone Splitting Chisel & Mallet Set Questions

Which chisel sizes are included in the set?

The documented configuration has straight and curved positions in nominal 4.0, 4.5, 7.0 and 7.5 mm widths, for eight chisel positions in total.

Does the nominal width fully identify a replacement chisel?

No. Blade thickness, taper, edge profile, curvature, shaft, handle and overall length are also needed to match the correct pattern.

What mallet details should be included in the order?

Confirm the mallet pattern, head dimensions, overall length, weight and material or insert requirements where applicable.

Can individual components be replaced?

An individual chisel, mallet or tray can be assessed after the parent set, component position and complete specification have been confirmed.
