About Straight Dental Elevators
A straight dental elevator has a straight shaft ending in a flat, slightly curved tip, used to loosen a tooth before forceps extraction or to remove roots and impacted teeth that forceps cannot reach cleanly. We manufacture narrow, medium, and broad straight patterns, plus named Coupland, Bein, Flohr, and London Hospital selections, alongside the general 301-style pattern.
How the Elevator Works
The elevator is placed against the tooth with the tip resting against bone, then rotated to create a scooping action that expands the periodontal ligament space and loosens the tooth. A shared "straight" label does not make our Coupland, Bein, Flohr, London Hospital, and 301-style patterns equivalent — blade width, tip form, shank, and handle all vary between them, so tell us the exact figure or blade width you need.
Choosing Blade Width and Tip Form
Choose blade width and tip form (rounded or pointed) to match the access your case allows, then confirm shank and handle. Our graduated Coupland-style set (narrow, medium, broad blade widths) covers a range of access sizes in one order; a single 301-style pattern suits general-purpose use. Straight elevators are a separate instrument family from Cryer elevators, root tip picks, and luxating elevators, which use different working-end geometry for different access problems.
Material and Ordering
We manufacture in hardened stainless steel, built to resist bending under leverage. Minimum order quantity, packaging, and private-label options are confirmed with your quotation based on pattern mix and quantity.
Care
Check the tip for rounding after use — a tip that has rounded under leverage loses purchase before it necessarily looks damaged, so test engagement against a firm reference rather than relying on a visual check alone. Follow your facility's own validated reprocessing protocol; our dental instrument cleaning and ultrasonic processing guide covers the general workflow reference.
Requesting a Quote
Tell us the pattern or blade width, tip form, handle, quantity, and destination market. We manufacture under ISO 9001:2015 quality management certification, with material evidence confirmed against the order you place.
