Dental Instrument Kit Builder and Quote List
Add an exact item
This is a limited public catalog selection. Confirm the exact specification and purchasing unit; use a manual request when your reference is not listed. Snapshot captured: November 1, 2026.
Your component list (0 lines)
No owned stock deducted. Additional planned purchases equal the gross requirement; this does not state how much stock you own.
Add a catalog item or a manual specification to start your list.
About this kit builder
Enter your approved instrument list, set quantities per kit and the number of identical kits, then review and export the purchase list before deciding whether to request a quote.
Calculations run in your browser. The catalog list is a public snapshot of eligible products. Your draft is never saved automatically, so reloading or closing the page loses your edits. Export the list before you leave. Do not enter patient details.
How kit quantities and owned stock are calculated
Each line records one exact item, its specification and the unit you declare. Quantities per kit are whole numbers, and the kit count applies to the whole list.
For each line, the gross requirement is the number of identical kits (K) × units per kit (q). If owned-stock deduction is off, additional purchases equal the gross requirement, and the line is labeled as having no owned stock deducted. If deduction is on, additional purchases = max(0, gross − allocated owned stock). Any excess shows as surplus, never as a negative purchase. Example: 2 pieces per kit × 6 kits = 12 pieces. With 5 allocated, 7 remain to buy. Totals are grouped by declared unit, so pieces, packs, sets and cassettes are never added together. A blank, fractional or negative quantity makes the result unknown rather than zero. When deduction is on, a blank owned field leaves additional purchases unknown, while 0 means none allocated. If two lines may be duplicates, additional purchases stay unresolved until they are reconciled. Exact duplicates (the same catalog product and variant, or the same manual name and reference, with the same requested specification and unit) can be merged. Merging adds their per-kit quantities and clears earlier owned-stock allocations so owned stock is entered once and deducted from the merged requirement once. Possible duplicates that are not exact matches (the same reference under different names, a repeated name with no reference, or a catalog line overlapping a manual line) are flagged for review and cannot be merged automatically. Their additional purchases and allocations stay unknown until you correct, remove or replace the ambiguous line.
Questions about your kit list
What if an instrument I need isn't in the catalog?
Add it as a manual line with your own reference and description. It stays in the list and export, marked as pending match, until we confirm the exact item. No reference, image, stock or price is assigned to it.
Can I use my school's or practice's approved list?
Yes. Enter the list as your specification, keeping any required brand, pattern, size or side. We do not confirm school approval or substitute items automatically. For school sourcing questions, see our dental student instrument kit page.
Can I add a complete set from the catalog?
Yes, but it counts as one purchase unit. The builder does not split a set into assumed components. Don't add those components again as separate lines unless you need extra units.
Are cassettes and packaging included?
Only when the exact product documentation says so. Otherwise, add a cassette as a separate line and note any packing or marking requests. An instrument count alone cannot show that a cassette will fit.
Does the builder decide how many kits I need?
No. It multiplies the kit count you enter. To work out quantities and timing, use the inventory and instrument-set planner. A purchasing gap from the planner already accounts for owned and incoming stock. Don't multiply that gap by the kit count or deduct owned stock from it again here.
Is the result a price or a confirmed order?
No. The builder prepares quantities and specifications for review. Pricing, units, availability, packing, freight and timing are confirmed in our quotation.
