Keep K-Files and H-Files Separate in the Buying Table

K-files and Hedstrom H-files may be offered in similar numbered sizes and lengths, but they are different instrument designs. The collection should compare them side by side without suggesting they are interchangeable. The product name, size, length, taper where verified, and pack should stay together on every order line.

Construction information such as cross-section, flute form, or manufacturing method should appear only when documented for the exact product. Generic endodontic explanations do not replace product evidence.

Verify Size, Length, Taper, and Assortment

Color coding supports identification but does not by itself prove size, taper, or conformity. Use the product specification and packaging to confirm the numbered size, length in millimetres, taper where applicable, assortment sequence, and quantity. Mixed assortments should list the included sizes rather than use “assorted” as the only detail.

Schools and distributors should record pack contents and product reference for repeat orders. A 21 mm, 25 mm, and 31 mm request must remain separate if those lengths are supplied, and the quoted assortment should state exactly which sizes are included.

Sterile Status, Packaging, and Reuse Are Product-Specific

Do not assume a hand file is sterile because the category or a competitor’s product is sterile. The visible page and quotation should identify sterile or non-sterile status, package integrity, pack quantity, and single-use or reusable designation for the exact item. Reuse decisions follow the product instructions and professional protocol.

For private-label packaging, provide the required label, size/length coding, lot or traceability fields, language, barcode, pack quantity, outer carton, and destination. Those fields should be reviewed with the approved product specification.

Send K-file or H-file type, size or assortment, length, taper where verified, sterile status, pack quantity, order quantity, packaging, branding, destination, and required documents. Include the previous SKU for repeat orders.

Available material, manufacturing, packaging, certification, and export evidence can support the quotation. Canal preparation technique and reuse decisions remain governed by professional protocols and the exact product instructions.

For assortments, state every included size, length, taper where verified, and quantity rather than using “assorted” alone. Individual-size replenishment should remain a separate order option. Retain the product reference, sterile status, pack quantity, and approved label with the order so later supply matches the original specification and is not inferred from handle color alone.

For private-label packaging, identify the size and length on every applicable pack level and keep the assortment schedule readable. Artwork approval should follow confirmation of the exact file type, construction, sterile status, pack quantity, and order quantity, with technical claims limited to the verified product.
