Cement-Mixing and Separating Spatulas Are Different Products

A cement spatula is compared through the blade used for mixing dental materials on a suitable surface. A Heidemann separating spatula is compared through its fine working-end pattern and figure. They may both be called spatulas, but their blade geometry and purchasing purpose differ. The collection should make that distinction before discussing material or handles.

We currently supply dental cement-mixing spatulas and Heidemann separating spatulas in this collection. A dedicated dental mixing-bowl product is not currently stocked, so bowl requirements should be listed separately for availability confirmation.

Compare Blade Rigidity, Width, Length, and Ends

Cement-spatula buyers should specify blade width, length, thickness, curvature, rigidity, single- or double-ended design, handle, material, and finish. A blade described only as “flexible” or “stiff” should include a product reference or sample when the exact feel matters.

For Heidemann patterns, record the figure, both working ends, blade profile, dimensions, shank, handle, and overall length. If several figures are grouped under one product, show each variation separately with close-up images rather than repeating one description.

Match the Spatula to the Buyer’s Material Workflow

The buyer should state the material or workflow as context, but product content must avoid claiming universal compatibility. The selected blade, surface, and handling method should follow the material manufacturer’s instructions. A supplier can confirm the spatula geometry and construction without prescribing a mixing ratio or clinical technique.

For a mixed prosthodontic or restorative order, list cement spatulas and separating spatulas on separate lines. Keep figure, blade dimensions, handle, quantity, and product reference with the order for later replacement.

Quote and Reprocessing Checklist

Send the product family, pattern or figure, blade width/length/thickness, rigidity or flexibility requirement, ends, handle, quantity, marking, packaging, and destination. Attach an approved sample for an exact-match request.

Available material, finish, manufacturing, packaging, certification, and export evidence can support the quotation. Reprocessing follows the exact product instructions and facility protocol. Material residue should be removed according to those instructions before it hardens on the blade.

For repeat supply, retain the approved blade face and profile, width, length, rigidity, end configuration, handle, overall length, and SKU. Keep mixing and separating spatulas on separate lines even if they are ordered together. If the buyer’s material workflow imposes a specific surface or flexibility requirement, include the material manufacturer’s guidance with the enquiry for review.

If bowls are also required, state their material, capacity, dimensions, quantity, and processing needs as a separate request. They should not be assumed to be included with a spatula or inherited from a product image. We will confirm bowl availability independently before adding it to the quotation.
