Periodontal Instrument Kits

We build diagnostic, hygiene, Gracey, universal curette, and periodontal surgery instrument kit configurations, each around one clinical workflow rather than a vague "complete perio kit." Tell us which configuration and components you need when requesting a quote.

About Periodontal Instrument Kits

We group named examination, scaler, curette, or surgery patterns around one defined clinical workflow — diagnostic, hygiene, Gracey, universal curette, or periodontal surgery — rather than selling a vague "complete perio kit."

Five Configurations, Five Workflows

Each configuration we offer serves a distinct stage of periodontal care. A diagnostic kit covers mirror, explorer, probe, and cotton pliers. A hygiene kit selects specific sickle scalers and universal curettes for routine maintenance. A Gracey kit follows an approved area-specific curette schedule. A universal curette kit selects among Barnhart, Columbia, McCall, Langer, or Younger-Good patterns. A periodontal surgery kit covers knife, periosteal, tissue, retraction, scissor, and closure instruments as one module. We keep diagnostic, nonsurgical, and surgical kits as distinct configurations rather than blending them together.

Confirming a Configuration

Identify your clinical workflow first, then we confirm every probe, scaler, curette, knife, or surgical pattern in that configuration individually, along with quantity per set and the handle family used across the kit. Component material, pattern, and finish vary by instrument within each kit. Configurations are available for manufacturer-direct and bulk supply, with cassette layout confirmed per kit; minimum order quantity and private-label options are confirmed with your quotation.

Care

Reprocess each component according to its own instrument type — a curette's cutting edge and a probe's calibration marking each need their own inspection, not a single pass-or-fail check for the kit as a whole. Follow your facility's own validated reprocessing protocol; our dental instrument cleaning and ultrasonic processing guide and our instrument sharpening guide cover general reference workflow.

Requesting a Quote

Tell us the workflow (diagnostic, hygiene, Gracey, universal curette, or surgery), component patterns, quantity, and destination market. We manufacture under ISO 9001:2015 quality management certification, with material evidence confirmed against the order you place.

Periodontal Instrument Kits Questions

What is more useful than a "complete perio kit" label?

A named pattern schedule listing every scaler, curette, and knife by figure — this makes replacement and reordering possible.

Should surgical and nonsurgical periodontal instruments be in the same module?

Keep them distinct. Diagnostic, hygiene, and surgical modules serve different visits and reprocessing needs.

What is the difference between a hygiene kit and a Gracey kit?

A hygiene kit selects specific sickle scalers and universal curettes for routine maintenance scaling. A Gracey kit follows an approved area-specific curette schedule for closer adaptation to individual tooth surfaces. Practices doing full periodontal instrumentation often use both.

Which instruments belong in a periodontal kit?

The answer depends on whether the set is for examination, hygiene, root planing, or surgery. Approve a named pattern schedule for the intended workflow.

Can I mix components from different configurations?

Tell us your requirements — we typically keep diagnostic, nonsurgical, and surgical kits as distinct configurations, but we can confirm whether a mixed component list is possible for your order.

Can handles and finishes be standardized across the kit?

Yes. State the preferred handle family and finish, then approve any exceptions required by a specific component.
