About Crane-Kaplan Periodontal Knife CK3 and Scaler 6
Crane-Kaplan is used across more than one periodontal hand-instrument pattern. We offer the CK3 periodontal knife and the Figure 6 scaler. They share the Crane-Kaplan name but perform different tasks and must not be described or ordered as interchangeable variants.
CK3 Periodontal Knife
CK3 is a double-ended periodontal knife pattern used in gingivectomy and periodontal soft-tissue procedures. Buyers should confirm blade profile, shank relationship, working-end orientation and bevel. The knife belongs with other cutting instruments on a periodontal surgery schedule, not with curettes or scalers.
Crane-Kaplan Figure 6 Scaler
Figure 6 is a periodontal scaler pattern. Its working end should be approved separately from CK3, with attention to blade, point, shank angle and handle. The clinical selection and technique depend on the verified scaler geometry and professional protocol.
CK3 and Figure 6 are each available under two SKUs. They remain separate because the handle, finish or production reference may differ.
Quotation and Set Planning
Use one line for CK3 and another for Figure 6. State the quantity, handle, finish and marking for each. If the buyer needs a combined periodontal set, the final bill of materials should identify the knife and scaler functions explicitly.
Material, Quality and Care
Both reusable instruments are available in stainless steel. Exact grade, hardness, edge or working-surface preparation, passivation and finish are confirmed by selected SKU. We manufacture under ISO 9001:2015 quality management certification.
Inspect the CK3 cutting edges and Figure 6 scaler tip according to their separate functions. Protect working ends during cleaning and follow the facility's validated reprocessing and sterilization procedure.
