About Dental Implant Broken Screw Removal Set

Our Dental Implant Broken Screw Removal Kit organises the instruments for retrieving a fractured abutment screw from a fixture that stays in place. Claw tools, reverse drills, screw removers, guides and drivers each have their own group in one case. Because the retrieval tools and the guide components sit in separate groups, you can check each against your case.

Tool groups in the case

  • Claw tools: engage an accessible screw fragment so it can be turned out. They are labelled by metric screw size.
  • Reverse drills: counter-clockwise rotary tools that create purchase in a fragment too tight to grip. They come in three sizes.
  • Screw removers: engage the fragment and back it out of the fixture. They also come in three sizes.
  • Perfect guides and internal/conical guides: seat in the fixture connection and keep the working tool aligned with the screw channel.
  • Shank and guide-driver components: seat the guides and connect the working tips.
  • Long holder: carries the remover tips.

Why guides sit alongside the removers

The claw tools, reverse drills and removers work on the screw fragment, while the guides work on the fixture. Seated in the connection, a guide keeps the working tool on the line of the screw channel. That is why the screw and the fixture are matched separately: a marking such as M1.8 or M2 describes the abutment screw's thread, not the implant platform diameter, and the guide has to suit the fixture's connection. Having several guide groups in the case does not mean every platform is covered.

What to send for matching

  • Implant brand, system and platform
  • Connection type, for example internal hex or conical
  • Abutment screw thread size, or the screw's part number
  • Number of kits and delivery destination

Dental Implant Broken Screw Removal Set Questions

Is this kit for a broken abutment screw or for removing the implant fixture?

It retrieves a fractured abutment screw from inside a fixture that remains in place. Removing the fixture itself requires a separate fixture-removal kit, and the two are not interchangeable.

What details do you need to check whether the kit fits my implant connection?

Send the implant brand, system and platform, the connection type, and the abutment screw's thread size or part number. The guides must suit the connection, and the claw tools and removers must suit the screw, so we check both against the set before quoting rather than assuming fit across brands.

Why does a screw-retrieval kit include guides as well as removers?

They do different jobs. The claw tools, reverse drills and screw removers work on the screw fragment itself. The perfect guides and internal/conical guides seat in the fixture connection to keep the working tool aligned with the screw channel. Because the guides sit in the connection, they have to suit your implant system, which is why we ask for connection details as well as the screw size.

Which tool groups are in the case?

The case holds claw tools labelled by metric screw size, reverse drills in three sizes, screw removers in three sizes, perfect guides, internal/conical guides, shank and guide-driver components, and a long holder for the remover tips.

Can the same cleaning and sterilization instructions be used for every component?

Do not assume so. Rotary reverse drills, guides, remover tips, hand components and the case can each carry their own cleaning, sterilization and reuse requirements. Request the processing instructions for each component with your quotation and apply them component by component.
