About Dental Mirror #5 (24 mm)
We manufacture the #5 mouth mirror head as a front-surface reflector, which places the reflective layer on the front of the glass instead of behind it. That construction avoids the faint double image a back-surface mirror can produce when light bounces off both the front and back of the glass surface.
Head Size and Construction
The #5 head measures 24 mm across, one of the most widely stocked diagnostic mirror sizes. It fits the standard cone-socket thread used on most reusable mirror handles, so you can order the head on its own to replace a worn mirror on handles you already own, or as a complete instrument with a handle included.
Ordering the Head or the Complete Instrument
Tell us whether you need the head only or the full assembly when you request a quote. If you are matching an existing set, a photo of your current handle's connection helps us confirm fit before we ship. Buyers standardizing a single configuration across a practice, school, or distribution list should specify the exact quantity of heads versus complete instruments in the same order.
Material and Finish
We produce the head in stainless steel with a mirror-polished surface. The reflective coating and polish are applied as part of our manufacturing process rather than added afterward, which keeps the finish consistent from one head to the next in the same batch.
Care and Handling
Inspect the mirror head before each use for scratches, chips, or a lifting coating, since surface damage affects the reflected image. Clean and sterilize it according to your facility's own validated protocol rather than a generic cycle — our dental instrument cleaning guide covers the general reprocessing workflow reusable stainless instruments go through.
Requesting a Quote
Tell us the quantity of heads or complete instruments, your preferred handle connection if you are ordering handles too, and your destination market. We manufacture and export this pattern under ISO 9001:2015 quality management certification, with material and packaging evidence confirmed against the order you place.
