About Hopkins Periosteal Elevators – Figures 1 and 2
Hopkins Figures 1 and 2 are recognized periosteal-elevator patterns. They are intended for buyers assembling or replacing instruments in oral and periodontal surgical trays, with each figure selected by its working-end geometry rather than by the Hopkins name alone.

The two figures use different working-end profiles. Confirm blade width and length, edge form, shank curvature, overall length and handle against the approved drawing. The product identity does not establish one universal blade dimension across manufacturers.
Figures 1 and 2 should be listed as separate quotation lines. If both are packed as a set, the bill of materials should show one of each and preserve the figure marking for future replacements.
Ordering for Surgical Trays
State whether the order is for individual replacement, a two-figure set, a broader periosteal-elevator assortment or a private-label surgical kit. If matching existing instruments, send clear working-end and handle photographs with measurements and the current supplier code.
Do not substitute a Freer, Molt, Mead, Seldin or another periosteal pattern without written approval. Those names describe different blade and access geometry.
Material, Finish and Inspection
The reusable elevators are offered in stainless steel. Material grade, hardness, blade and shank dimensions, edge preparation, finish, passivation and markings are confirmed through the accepted specification. We manufacture under ISO 9001:2015 quality management certification.
Inspect the blade, shank and handle junction for deformation or damage before use. Protect the working ends during cleaning and follow the facility's validated reprocessing and sterilization procedure.
