About Lentulo Spiral
A four-carrier pack for RA contra-angle setups
Lentulo Spiral from Dental Instruments Supplier is a pack of four stainless-steel spiral paste carriers. Each carrier has an RA latch-type shank. One order unit is one pack. The item comes in two length options, 21 mm and 25 mm, so you can match the length your practice already stocks. These are professional material-delivery instruments that carry endodontic paste, sealer or cement in a contra-angle. They are not hand spreaders, and they are not files.
Why a spiral carrier is a different instrument
The working part is a coiled stainless-steel wire, and that open coil defines the instrument. It is designed to carry a suitable material, not to shape the canal or compact a fill. Lentulo spirals often turn up in the same searches and on the same trays as spreaders and files, which is why order lines get mixed up.
A file has cutting flutes and is used for canal shaping. A spreader is a smooth, pointed hand-held instrument associated with compaction. A Lentulo spiral runs in a latch-type contra-angle and exists to move material. Spiral filler, paste filler and paste carrier all describe this same category, but a category name alone does not identify a particular product. A requisition still needs the RA shank, the length and the four-carrier pack to point to this item. A request for a spreader points to a different instrument type entirely.
Keep the RA connection separate from the length choice
RA describes the shank. It is not a length, a size or a material brand. RA refers to the latch-type connection, where a notched shank end is held by the retaining latch of a contra-angle head built for that interface. The notched ends are visible in the product image. When you compare this item with what you already use, check the interface first. A latch shank is a different connection from a friction-grip shank, and fit depends on the specific handpiece, not on the word contra-angle alone.
Length is a separate decision. The 21 mm and 25 mm options describe the instrument, and choosing one does not change the shank or the pack count. Write the length on every request rather than relying on memory or a photo. Attachment and operation follow the instructions for your handpiece and for the instrument itself.
Count packs and keep your size reference
Each order unit is one pack of four carriers. Pack count, length and size are three different details, and each belongs on a request as its own entry. The product image shows four coiled carriers with a color legend for reference sizes 25 (red), 30 (blue), 35 (green) and 40 (black). The image illustrates the format and those size references. It is not a packing list for every pack. If you need a particular size, or want to know how sizes are distributed across the four carriers, say so in your request and the quote will confirm the actual configuration.
For repeat orders, keep a short record with four entries: the SKU, the length, the size reference you currently use if you have one, and the number of packs. That record gives whoever places the next request the same details to work from, instead of a description.
Match the carrier to the material instructions
Paste, sealer and cement describe what this instrument does. They are not a blanket approval for every formulation. Manufacturers intend their materials to be placed in different ways, so a generic paste label on a carrier does not settle compatibility. Before you add a spiral carrier to a delivery workflow, read the material's instructions alongside the instrument's. Use the combination only where both are intended for it.
When packs arrive, include them in your normal receiving check. Confirm the carrier count, the length and the shank type against your order. Then handle the instruments under your practice's own infection-control procedures and the applicable instructions.
