Mead Figure 3 Working Ends
Approve both working ends, blade width and length, edge form, shank curvature, overall length and handle against the selected drawing. The eponym and figure establish the product family, but they do not replace dimensional approval for OEM or exact replacement supply.
If matching an existing instrument, send working-end photographs from both sides beside a scale, the handle marking and original product code. A retained sample is useful where an old tray list contains only “Mead 3.”
Ordering for Oral-Surgery or Periodontal Trays
Mead Figure 3 can be supplied individually or included in a documented surgery set. Keep it separate from Freer, Molt, Hopkins, Prichard and Seldin patterns on the bill of materials. A standardized handle may be shared across the set, but the working-end identities remain distinct.
