Metzenbaum scissors have comparatively long handles and slender working blades. We offer straight and curved rounded-tip patterns, allowing buyers to specify the blade geometry separately from overall instrument length.

Selecting the right configuration

For a repeat order, identify overall length, blade length, straight or curved form, tip shape and cutting-edge construction. Do not use the word “SuperCut” or a gold handle as a substitute for a documented blade specification. An individual straight scissor and a mixed straight-and-curved pair require different packing lines.

Measurements and evidence

The nominal size reference is seven inches; confirm the supplied overall length. Seven inches equals 177.8 mm mathematically; manufacturers may market nearby nominal metric lengths. Medesy lists 180 mm long Metzenbaum patterns and 145 mm short patterns. Those are reference models, not proof that every 7-inch scissor measures exactly 180 mm. Confirm total and working lengths separately.

Care and documentation

Ask for the model-specific intended use and care instructions. Inspect blade alignment, tip condition and hinge movement before accepting a sample. Do not use a fine surgical scissor as a wire cutter or assign a sterilization cycle from a visually similar supplier product. Any TC or special edge claim needs the supplied model’s documentation.
