About Suture Scissors
These suture removal scissors have a hook-shaped notch in one blade. That notch is what separates a removal instrument from the smooth-blade cutting scissors on the same tray. Each unit is a single reusable instrument in AISI 420 stainless steel, for dental and clinical practices and the distributors who supply them.
What the hook adds
The hooked notch helps engage suture material at the working end. It distinguishes the removal pattern from scissors with smooth blade tips. That gives a dedicated removal scissors its own place in an instrument set, separate from general tissue and cutting scissors. Buyers also call this design stitch-removal scissors or hooked suture scissors.
Specifying your configuration
Our product photograph shows the hooked blade in straight, curved and angled forms with a multicolored finish. The image shows those forms side by side, but each unit you order is one instrument.
To quote accurately, we need your configuration as a single specification:
- Blade shape, with reference to the illustrated forms or your current instrument
- Overall length
- Finish
- Quantity of instruments
If you are replacing scissors already in use, a close-up photo of the blade and hook helps us match the form. Your quotation will name the exact configuration we supply.
Material and reprocessing
The stainless-steel construction is reusable and autoclavable. Clean and sterilize the scissors following the validated instructions supplied with the instrument.
