About Sanders Periodontal Knives – 1/2 and 4/5
Sanders periodontal instruments in Figures 1/2 and 4/5 are recognized gingivectomy knife patterns. They are cutting instruments for periodontal soft-tissue procedures and should not be substituted with scaling or root-planing instruments.
Sanders 1/2 and 4/5 Patterns
Each reference combines two working ends in one double-ended instrument. Figures 1/2 and 4/5 have different blade forms for periodontal soft-tissue access and should be selected by figure, not merely by the Sanders name. Approve the blade outline, shank angle, end orientation and bevel against a drawing or retained sample.
There are two active SKUs for each visible figure pair. We have not merged them because an unseen difference in handle, finish or manufacturing reference may be commercially important. Keep the approved SKU in the buyer's repeat-order record.
Building a Gingivectomy Instrument Set
A set can include Sanders knives with other periodontal knife families, but every pattern needs its own quotation line. State whether both Sanders pairs are required and whether the handle style should match other instruments in the tray. Do not substitute a scaler, curette or chisel with a similar-looking shank.

Inspect both blades before processing and use. Protect the cutting ends in a cassette and follow the healthcare facility's validated cleaning, sharpening, packaging and sterilization procedure.
