Keep Periosteal and Root Elevators Separate

Periosteal elevators are selected for tissue-reflection instrument requirements. Root and dental elevators belong to extraction instrument families with different blades and comparison logic. Both may appear in oral-surgery sets, but they should remain separate order lines with their exact product names and dimensions.

If a buyer requests only an “elevator,” clarify whether the requirement is the active Molt #9 or Williger periosteal product, another periosteal reference for availability review, or a straight, Cryer, or root elevator. That clarification prevents the wrong instrument family from being quoted.

Compare Blade Width, Edge, Curvature, and Ends

Named periosteal patterns differ through their blade profile, width, edge, curvature, shank transition, and opposite end. A double-ended instrument should show both working ends with dimensions. Side-specific or asymmetric configurations need independent labels.

Handle diameter, texture, material, finish, and overall length should be recorded after the working-end identity. If matching an existing product, provide a face and side image of each end, measurements, handle, and product reference.

Individual Patterns and Surgical Sets

Individual ordering suits replacement and specialist patterns. A surgical or periodontal kit should name the exact periosteal elevator and quantity. The phrase “one periosteal” is not enough when several pattern families are available. Keep the confirmed product reference with the kit bill of materials.

For a custom set, add the desired cassette position, marking, packaging, and destination. The quotation can then identify the exact pattern rather than relying on a general group image.

Quote and Evidence Checklist

Provide the named pattern and figure, blade dimensions, single- or double-ended design, opposite end, handle, overall length if critical, quantity, marking, packaging, and destination. Attach an approved reference for exact-match orders.

Available material, finish, manufacturing, packaging, certification, and export evidence can accompany the quotation. Inspection and reprocessing follow the exact product instructions and the healthcare facility protocol.

For a mixed periosteal set, list every pattern, figure, width, side, single- or double-ended form, handle, and quantity separately. Include measured face and profile photographs when matching an existing instrument. State the cassette position and replacement requirement as well, because a generic “periosteal elevator” line cannot identify the blade geometry needed for a repeat order.

If the order also includes dental or root elevators, place them in a separate section of the bill of materials. State the intended instrument family on every line and do not substitute one family based on a similar overall shape. This keeps surgical-set composition, labeling, and replacement references clear.
