About Amalgam Carrier
We build the amalgam carrier to dispense set-triturated amalgam into a cavity preparation in a measured, controlled increment. The hollow barrel holds a pre-loaded quantity of material and the plunger releases it cleanly at the working end, keeping placement consistent between increments and reducing waste compared with hand-carrying material to the site.
Single-Barrel or Double-Barrel
Our single-ended design has one barrel and plunger for standard-volume increments. We also offer a double-barrel version for practices placing larger multi-surface restorations at higher volume, since it lets you carry two increments before reloading — worth the extra size where reloading mid-procedure would slow the workflow.
Material and Ordering
We construct this from stainless steel with a satin finish and a non-stick barrel coating so amalgam releases cleanly instead of dragging. Autoclave sterilizable. We sell it individually, as part of restorative instrument sets, or for bulk supply; private-label branding is available and minimum order quantity is confirmed with your quotation. Inspect the barrel bore for residual material buildup during cleaning — dried amalgam residue inside the barrel affects the next measured dispense. Follow your facility's own validated reprocessing protocol; our dental instrument cleaning and ultrasonic processing guide covers the general workflow reference.
