Rongeurs and Holding Forceps Are Not the Same Family
Some of our rongeur references share a naming history with bone-holding forceps, but the two are different instruments with different mechanisms — a rongeur cuts bone with spring-action jaws, while a holding forceps grips and stabilizes a fragment without cutting it. If you are ordering to replace an existing instrument, confirm which function you actually need rather than assuming a shared name means the same tool.
Length-Only Identification
Quote by SKU for a repeat order, and tell us jaw direction (side-cutting or end-cutting), jaw width, and curvature for a new order — identical lengths do not confirm identical jaw geometry.
Material and Ordering
We manufacture in surgical-grade stainless steel with satin or mirror polish available on request. Minimum order quantity is confirmed with your quotation.
Care
Inspect the jaw edges for chips or misalignment after use — a rongeur that no longer closes evenly crushes bone instead of cutting it cleanly.
