About Dental Calipers

We build calipers to compare or transfer a measurement during laboratory, prosthodontic, or restorative work — jaw reach, tip form, and reading method vary across the wider caliper market (spring-bow types such as Boley and Iwanson, digital-reading calipers, and wax or crown calipers are all sold under the general "dental caliper" heading). Our active references are Pattern 127 and Pattern 128, kept separate by SKU. Neither reference states its measuring range, tip geometry, or reading method in the name alone, so we confirm that detail on request rather than assuming it.

Choosing Between the Patterns

Start with what needs to be measured — a cast, a crown, a wax pattern, or a tooth dimension — and whether you need a direct reading, a transfer between two points, or a comparison. That intended task, more than the pattern number, determines whether Pattern 127 or 128 is the right order.

Matching an Existing Instrument

If you are replacing an existing instrument, send us the SKU along with a full-length image and a close view of the tips or scale. For a new order, tell us the desired range, units, and any tolerance requirement.

Inspection

On inspection, the caliper should open and close smoothly, the tips should meet cleanly at the intended closed position, and a reading should repeat consistently across several checks. Where a scale is present, confirm it is legible and reads zero correctly when closed.

Requesting a Quote

Tell us your measuring task, desired range, units, quantity, and destination market. We manufacture under ISO 9001:2015 quality management certification, with material evidence confirmed against the order you place.

Dental Calipers Questions

How do I know if I need Pattern 127 or Pattern 128?

Tell us what you need to measure — a cast, a crown, a wax pattern, or a tooth dimension — and whether you need a direct reading, a transfer, or a comparison. That task determines the right pattern more than the number itself.
